Farmer's market hustle

Pine Trees

Thumbprint

I decided to make these fig jam filled thumbprints inspired by a tin of cookies that came in the mail from our Brooklyn friends.

Predator

Killer bird patiently watched a hen with her baby chicks hiding in the vines below.  The bird swooped down a few times and caught some chicks while the hen shrilled loudly.  Brutal day to watch survival of the fittest right outside the door.

Moth

Lime

Perfect citrus from the farm.  Small, thin skin, and juicy.

NY to HI

First and second shot on my last developed roll of 35mm color film.  Somehow the images got over-exposed and I lucked out with some cool color mistakes.  The top shot is of the boardwalk at Rockaway beach in New York.  The bottom is my very first image from Hawaii, a tree-top view from the deck.

Beach day

Night

Only at night can you see the heat from the volcano.

Beach shadow

Toyota Van

My mom had this van when we were growing up, marketed as one of the first soccer mom vehicles.  Ours was maroon with corduroy-textured upholstery inside.

Hawaii Gas Station

Endless clothing cycle

Things I've left behind, given away, sold, or donated before moving to Hawaii.

Aloha Honey Bee

Got a sticky and drippy package from Ollie who removes beehives in Kauai.  The honey jar broke in the mail, but managed to save the honeycomb.  So good and sweet.
